Canadian rapper and singer Drake, known for placing huge bets on popular sporting events once again caught headlines with his two more bets. The ‘In my feelings’ singer placed bet on Dallas Mavericks and Edmonton Oilers for the NBA Finals 2024 and Stanley Cup finals, respectively. The Dallas Mavericks are set to clash against the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals on June 7th at the Central European Time. On the other hand, NHL will have their Stanley Cup finals, which will commence on Saturday, June 8.
Multiple Grammy-winning Canadian rapper, Drake, who has previously made headlines for his significantly high bets on several disciplines of sports, has once again placed bets on two of the most popular teams of both the tournaments. The 37-year-old went on to place two $500 K bets on Dallas Mavericks as well as Edmonton Oilers in their forthcoming major tournaments.
Not only this, but he also went on to explain the reasons behind his preferences while sharing the screenshots of the bets on his Instagram. The God’s Plan singer wrote on Instagram, “Dallas cause I’m a Texan, Oilers are self explanatory.” Like all his previous bets, Drake used Stake for his newest bets as well.
Coming back to the NBA finals, the forthcoming tournament will see the Celtics aiming to script history by winning their 18th NBA championship. On the other hand, the Stanley Cup finals will have a total of seven games, where the Oilers will fight for the ultimate glory after a long gap of 18 years. The matches for this years edition will be played in two locations, Amerant Bank Arena in Florida and Rogers Place in Alberta, Canada.
