The second day of the ongoing Test between India and England had a lot of twists and turns throughout the course of the day. Much to the delight of all fans, there was no rain on Friday as everyone got to see a great contest between bat and ball. After bowling India out on 364, England were on top going to Tea break with their score reading 23/0.

India were expected to come out all guns blazing in the third session and they did! Virat Kohli handed the ball to Mohammed Siraj and the 27-year-old pacer delivered by taking two back-to-back wickets in one over. After setting a trap and executing it to perfection to dismiss Sibley, Siraj sent Hameed back to pavilion with a beauty.

Two poor reviews by Siraj and Virat

As Siraj found himself in the middle of a fierce spell, another wicket would have certainly put India on top. The right-arm pacer beat Joe Root with his in-swinging deliveries couple of times in the spell but the ball was sliding down the leg on both occasions.

Since it was Joe Root and Siraj looked absolutely sure both the times, Virat Kohli ignored the advise of Rishabh Pant and other players and went ahead with his and bowler's instincts. As expected, India lost both the reviews in quick succession leaving them with only one DRS for remainder of the innings.

Wasim Jaffer has a new full form for DRS

A very similar incident had happened in the first Test as well when Mohammed Siraj had convinced Virat Kohli in taking a review, ultimately resulting in the side losing the DRS. As per stats, India have taken 10 reviews off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj, where only 1 has been successful. While 2 have been umpire's call, Virat Kohli's side have lost rest of the 7 reviews.

Reflecting on the same, Wasim Jaffer hilariously claimed that DRS should be known as 'Don't Review Siraj' considering the poor track record that the pacer has had with reviews.

Virat Kohli will also have to be more careful now to make sure that he doesn't get easily persuaded by Siraj. With England ending Day 2 on 119/3, India will need to use their one remaining review very smartly as losing it unnecessarily could deprive them of a wicket later in the innings.
