As per the early trends, BJP is leading in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, while Congress is ahead in Telangana.
Congress is leading in 62 seats and has won 2 while the BRS is trailing in 39 in the state of Telangana. BJP is leading in 8 seats, AIMIM in 6 while CPI is ahead in only one seat.
As of 5:30 pm, the Bhartiya Janta Party has won 51 seats in Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, the Congress emerged victorious on 26 seats.
As of 5:00 PM IST, BJP has won 75 seats while gaining a lead in 87 seats in Madhya Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi said that he humbly accepts Congress' loss in the respective states. He said, “We humbly accept the mandate of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan – the battle of ideology will continue. I am very thankful to the people of Telangana – we will definitely fulfil the promise of making Prajalu Telangana. Heartfelt thanks to all the workers for their hard work and support,”
As counting gave a clear edge to the BJP in Rajasthan over Ashok Gehlot's Congress, the big question that is continuously making rounds in the state political circle is who will be the next CM face in the state. Would it be Vasundhara Raje, the senior-most BJP leader in Rajasthan? The 70-year-old has been the constant face of BJP's rule in the state.
Now that the BJP is likely to form government in the state, it might have an impact on the board of the RCA. While Vaibhav Gehlot is currently serving as the board's president till 2025, the ruling party will bring its own faces for the next term elections of the board.
Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) registered a win in 61 seats while having a lead in 54 constituencies. On the other hand, Congress gained 35 wins with a lead in 34 seats.
