Phoenix Suns guard Kevin Durant gave an amusing reaction to Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid’s 70 points against the San Antonio Spurs. Embiid scored a career-high and franchise record to guide the side to a 133–123 win over Victor Wembanyama and his Spurs. With his on-court brilliance against the Spurs, Embiid became the ninth player in NBA history to score at least 70 points in a game. The 29-year-old recorded 21-off-23 free throws.
With his heroics, he broke the record of Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain’s 76ers record of 68 points. Chamberlain had set the record in December 1967, more than 56 years ago, in a clash against the Chicago Bulls. Apart from it, “The Process” also joined Michael Jordan as the only two players to record at least 65 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists in a single game. Durant, who was his team’s highest scorer in the 115-113 clash against the Chicago Bulls gave an amusing reaction to Embiid’s feat.
