England have gained an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match Test series and now prepare for a whitewash over New Zealand. The hosts put on a show in the second Test as they chased down 299 with sheer ease. Jonny Bairstow played an inning of his life as the swashbuckling batter scored a century off just 77 balls. Captain Ben Stokes was also instrumental in his side’s win.

Meanwhile, New Zealand could just see England completely dominating the match. Their batters did keep them in the game with a decent fourth innings score but that proved insufficient against the T20-Esque inning of Jonny Bairstow.

Nonetheless, the visitors will hope to end the series with a win and fly back home with their heads high. But for that, New Zealand will have to bring their A-game to the fore. Also, the Tom Latham-led team will have to get certain things right starting from the toss.

Here is a prediction of which team could win the crucial moments in the 3rd Test between England and New Zealand.

1. Toss Prediction

In the two matches played so far, both teams have got one toss in their favor. However, Kane Williamson was captaining New Zealand when they won the toss in the first Test while it was Tom Latham who lost the toss in the second Test. Meanwhile, Ben Stokes has had half luck so far but as he has edged Latham on the only occasion, England are expected to win the toss in the 3rd Test.

2. Win Possibility

England have a clear edge when it comes to winning the match. The hosts have won both the games and by a fine margin so far. The Ben Stokes-led team has the momentum and thus remain the favorite to win the 3rd Test as well.

3. Team of the Match

With the way England have played so far in the series, the hosts clearly have an edge over the visitors when it comes to selecting Team of the Day. England are undoubtedly the Team of the Match.

4.  Average scores

The average first innings score at Headingly in Tests is 304 while the average second innings score at the venue is 292. As the Headingly pitch deteriorates as the match progresses, batting gets tougher. The same is reflected in the average third innings score which is 241 while it is 166 for the fourth innings.
