Before the batting heroics, Rachin Ravindra also starred with the ball as he picked up one wicket while giving away 76 runs. Coming back to the one-time Indian captain, Shastri also compared this move to India promoting stars like Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma up the order.
Ravi Shastri said, "This could be a masterstroke by New Zealand sending Rachin Ravindra at the Top Order just like India did with Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma".
