England claimed an emphatic win over India in the fifth rescheduled Test as they beat the Jasprit Bumrah-led side by seven wickets. With this win, England drew the five-match Test series 2-2 and retained the Pataudi trophy. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow joined hands to make the run chase a cakewalk for the hosts.

The 269*-run partnership between Root and Bairstow for the fourth wicket frustrated India throughout the innings as the two batters played relentless cricket. Both Bairstow and Root played an aggressive brand of cricket or better say ‘Bazball’ brand of cricket and scored runs at a quicker rate. The two English batters scored 34 boundaries and two sixes during their stay at the crease.

With Root and Bairstow finding odd boundaries and inching closer to the victory, Virat Kohli looked utterly disappointed. The former India captain could not believe what he was witnessing and stood in disbelief in the slip cordon. His emotions were summarized in one picture where Kohli is seen with his head down, eyes closed, and his hand covering his face.

As soon as India lost the match, this picture of Virat Kohli started circulating on social media platforms. England Cricket Team’s fan club, The Barmy Army also shared the picture not with empathy but with an intention to troll the batter. The club put a laughing emoji in the caption of the post displaying their emotion about the picture.

Many fans did not like this post and asked the fan page to delete the picture. “Uncalled for, delete,” commented one user on the post.

Notably, Virat Kohli's dry run continued in England as well. The Indian batting stalwart yet again failed to get runs under his belt as he was bowled for 11 and 20 in the first and second innings of the 5th Test respectively. While he chopped on a delivery from Matthew Potts onto his stumps, Virat Kohli fell to a snorter from Stokes in the second innings.
