While there will be Middlesex vs Sussex, Gloucestershire vs Somerset and Essex vs Glamorgan matches in the South Group, Lancashire vs Worcestershire and Nottinghamshire vs Leicestershire will compete in the North Group fixtures.

A look at the points table suggests while Middlesex have won two and lost six of their matches and seem to be struggling at the points table , Sussex have won just one more but have got five points from rain-affected matches due to no results and are placed third. Gloucestershire have won five from their nine matches and are currently placed second while Somerset have tasted wins in four of their nine games. Meanwhile, both Essex and Glamorgan have played ten matches each and have four and three wins respectively.

As far as the North Group teams are concerned, Lancashire have three wins from nine matches while Northamptonshire have won three from their six matches.
