The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday, November 10 announced England Women squad for their upcoming tour of India. The Three Lions Women will take on India in three-match T20I series followed by a Test match, starting December 6 at the Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium, respectively.

The England Women have notably named two squads for the next month series, which will be led by Heather Knight. The squads also include experience campaigners in Sophie Ecclestone, who will return post her shoulder surgery, Sophia Dunkley, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Daniel Wyatt to name a few. Wicketkeeper-batter Bess Heath has also been named in both the squads after making her debut in England’s ODI against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, Alice Capsey will be in line to make her Test debut after making it to the 14-member squad.

“We have a nice blend of youth and experience. It’s an exciting squad and a group that is ready to take on the challenge of what will be a really tough series in India,” said Head Coach Jon Lewis.

Additionally, the England Women have also named a 21-member squad for Oman series. The England A, as it has been called, will have a preparatory camp in Oman from 12-25 December ahead of their tour of India. Notably, Heather Knight will travel to Oman before landing in India as the ECB prepares to name a reduced 14-member quad for England A tour of India.
