The Liverpool - Arsenal saw a heated argument which could lead to harsher ramifications as the English Football Association is set to take action. The incident took place in the dying minutes of the game when the Gunners were leading 3-2. Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson and Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes were involved in this furious exchange inside the Liverpool penalty area.

Here Henderson, amidst this heated argument with Gabriel, was seen gesturing towards the referee Michael Oliver which led the official to halt play and have a chat with both managers at the touchline. The FA addressed the incident that took place during the game, and they are now talking with the match officials and the two clubs.

“We are aware of an incident that took place during the match between Arsenal and Liverpool,” a FA spokesperson said. “We are in dialogue with the match officials and will review the details of the incident.”

Regarding the incident, users on the internet believe that Jordan Henderson’s comments towards Gabriel could have a racist connotation causing the referee to involve both managers after the argument. Similarly, the netizens have grabbed screenshot reactions of Liverpool players who looked unhappy with whatever was said in the middle.

After the 3-2 defeat, Liverpool remains at the 10th place on the table whereas Arsenal solidifies their top spot on the table. But the defeat isn’t the only worry for Jurgen Klopp as also has to deal with injuries of Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold. In the post-game press conference, he addressed that the duo has picked up injuries which aren’t looking good for the team.

“Something with the knee, not good,” Klopp said for Díaz. “He will have a scan and then we will know more. I have no idea about the extent. On top of that Trent was bad as well with a twisted ankle. Not good. Trent never comes off; he can play on. He was in too much pain, and it started swelling immediately. So, he will have a scan.”
