FIFA WC 2022

FIFA World Cup 2022 kicked off with a match between host Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium. Although it was a one-sided game with Ecuador walking away with a 2-0 win, fans enjoyed the first game of the biggest tournament. There were also some words exchanged between the fans of the two teams.

As Ecuador dominated the contest throughout, the fans of the South American nation got pretty excited and teased the opposition fans. One of the Ecuador fans was seen making a controversial gesture taking a dig at the host nation. This did not sit well with one of the Qatari fans sitting just behind that Ecuador supporter as he asked the latter to shut up and sit down.

Notably, before the start of the game, a few reports had emerged that Qatari officials tried to bribe a few of the Ecuador players and tried to fix the game. However, nothing official was released in the same regard. Referring to the same, the Ecuador supporter made that controversial gesture and quite obviously the Qatari fan did not like it.

Nevertheless, a few moments later both the individuals (the Ecuador fan and the Qatari supporter) came together and apologized to each other. They made a video together in which both of them apologized to each other and shook hands. It’s said that the Qatari guy made the first move as he went to the Ecuador fan and apologized for his angry behaviour.

"He is an Ecuadorian and he is here to watch the match today," the Qatar fan said. "In the end we are all here to watch the beautiful game."

"Yes," The Ecuador fan agreed. "Passion sometimes makes people upset. But we come together for sport. Sport brings people together. ??"So we are very friendly with each other, I wish Qatar the best, and it's a beautiful World Cup so far. You guys are so friendly, I love it"
