The ninth season of the Pakistan Super League is approaching its finale, scheduled to be hosted on March 18. In the 17th clash of the season, Karachi Kings locked horns with Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium Karachi. The match saw the Gladiators registering a five-wicket win over the Kings. The team led by Rilee Rossouw currently sits at the second spot on the standings with four wins, whereas Shan Massod’s side is fifth. While it was an exciting clash, what caught everyone’s attention was a huge calculation blunder made by the official broadcasters.
During the game, the official broadcasters made a blunder with wrong calculations. While Quetta was chasing the 166-run target set by the Kings, the broadcasters displayed winning changes of Karachi in the negatives. On the fourth ball of the final over, Gladioators only needed three runs to win the game. During that time, the winning probability calculated for Kings was -1% and that of Gladiators was 101%.
Needless to say, the incident went viral on social media within no time, and fans didn’t leave any chance to mock the officials. Here are some of the best reactions.
Notably, Kings will now clash against table-toppers Multan Sults on March 3, Sunday, whereas, Gladiators are to lock horns with Islamabad United on March 2.
