The Indian Premier League stands for three words - Entertainment! Entertainment! Entertainment! And after two not-so-close matches in the UAE leg of IPL 2021, fans finally got to see a lot of drama in match no. 32 between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. It was an absolute roller-coaster of a contest where the tides were turning throughout the course of the match.

However, it was finally one-way traffic in the second innings when KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal were batting in the middle. The PBKS opening duo looked in scintillating form as they smashed the RR bowlers all over the park. Even after their dismissal, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram carried on the momentum and there was only one team who was certain to get two points - Punjab Kings.

Kartik Tyagi defends 4 runs in final over

Although the match could have been finished way earlier, RR bowled a few good overs at the death. Mustafizur Rahman conceded only 4 runs off the penultimate over to take the match into the final over. Kartik Tyagi was handed the responsibility to defend 4 overs and it looked like a mere formality as Punjab needed just one hit to win the match.

But little did many know that PBKS were set to choke, once again! The final over read - 0, 1, W, 0, W, 0 as KL Rahul's side dramatically fell 2 runs short of the target against all odds. Rajasthan Royals secured two crucial points as Punjab fans were left in absolute shock as they couldn't believe what they saw in the final few minutes of the match.

Fans were quick to troll Punjab Kings for their epic failure with the bat at the end, where they literally gifted victory to their opposition from a certain winning position.
