The 20th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will be played in Saudi Arabia from December 12 to 22, 2023. It will be the last seven-team Club World Cup before the tournament is expanded to 32 teams in 2025.  Defending Champions Real Madrid will not be involved, as the Los Blancos were eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2022–23 UEFA Champions League against the eventual winners Manchester City.

According to the format, European winners directly qualify for the semifinals, while AFC, CAF, and CONCACAF winners play a round more, and the hosts of the competition start in the first round itself.
