In a massive news coming in with regards to the E-sports arena, one of the biggest and the most popular football games - the EA Sports' FIFA could be coming to an end in the manner in which fans are used to playing the video game. The development comes after efforts of renewing the partnership between FIFA and Electronic Arts (EA) took an ugly turn.

Post the development, FIFA is now mulling to terminate its long and exclusive partnership with the E-sports giant EA. In a statement issued by the world football governing body, they have mentioned that while they want to reassess the way they have been going about E-sports and gaming business, they are now looking at expanding their horizons beyond EA Sports.

Such an effort, as per the release, would provide the end-user better experience.

Important for FIFA to maximise all future opportunities for football and gaming fans

"Gaming and eSports are the fastest-growing media verticals on the planet, with new and diverse types of games launching continuously," FIFA wrote.

"It is therefore of crucial importance for FIFA and its stakeholders to maximise all future opportunities for football and gaming fans," it added.

It is also being learned that FIFA has already started discussions with companies within this realm to create a new system where even other companies and stakeholders would have the right to its licensing. In this way, the game is likely to be different than ever before.

"FIFA is bullish and excited about the future in gaming and e-sports for football, and it is clear that this needs to be a space that is occupied by more than one party controlling all rights," the statement reads.

"Technology and mobile companies are now actively competing to be associated with FIFA, its platforms, and global tournaments. Consequently, FIFA is engaging with various industry players, including developers, investors and analysts, to build out a long-term view of the gaming, esports and interactive entertainment sector," the statement.

Although the negotiations are still pretty much at a nascent stage, FIFA looks determined on what it has set out to do with a complete revamp of the gaming experience on the cards.
