Team News:

Left-back Lucas Hernandez tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the build-up to Goodwin's goal for Australia on Tuesday and is ruled out of the rest of the World Cup as he prepares for months of rehabilitation. His brother, Theo Hernandez, will likely carry the baton as he is set to replace his brother.

Probable lineup:

Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Upamecano, T. Hernandez; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Giroud

Sevilla midfielder Thomas Delaney has also been withdrawn from the tournament due to a knee injury. After missing out on one of the easiest misses in World Cup history against Tunisia, Andreas Cornelius is likely to be considered only for a substitute alongside the injury plagued  Yussuf Poulsen.

Probable lineup:

Schmeichel; Andersen, Christensen, Kjaer; Kristensen, Hojbjerg, Eriksen, Maehle; Skov Olsen, Dolberg, Damsgaard

Match prediction:

Conclusion: France is arguably one of the strongest sides in the competition and is expected to avoid any upset, winning the game against Denmark with utmost ease.
