Iran executed their defensive 4-4-2 tactics to perfection which allowed them to create many counter-attack opportunities. Their star striker Mehdi Taremi was the top performer and assisted the second goal.
Whereas the USA managed to secure a 0-0 draw against England where keeper Matt Turner was the best American player. The Arsenal backup made crucial saves and distributed the ball with ease.
