Ahead of Argentina vs UAE friendly match in Abu Dhabi on November 16, skipper Lionel Messi arrived in Doha on Monday. Messi missed an encounter between Paris Saint-Germain and Auxerre due to injury but that will not stop him from competing in the World Cup.

The 35-year-old former Barcelona star will kick start his FIFA World Cup preparation alongside his teammates at Al Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.  As per videos and pictures going viral on internet, former Barcelona forward was seen at the Argentina team hotel with Leandro Paredes and welcomed by the national team staff.

Notably, Argentina will play a friendly match against the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday in the build-up of the FIFA World Cup opener against Saudi Arabia next week. Lionel Messi-led Argentina is placed in Group C with Mexico, Poland and Saudi Arabia.  The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner had earlier hinted that this could be his last World Cup stating that he will reassess lot of things after the Qatar World Cup.

"I don’t know what I will do after the World Cup. I am thinking about what is coming. After Qatar, I will have to reassess many things. It has been a while that I am happy here, since before winning the Copa. I am extremely proud and thankful for everyone who make me feel special when I come to Argentina," said PSG-star striker.
