India will take on Afghanistan once again in the second round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Asian qualifiers on Tuesday, March 26, at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. In their reverse fixture clash that took place last week in Saudi Arabia, the potent forward line-up of India looked hapless against the ruthless attack Afghanistan unfurled that day.
However, despite the goalless draw that India played against Anoush Dastgir’s side, the World No. 117 side found themselves in a relatively better position in the second round with two home matches still in their hand. Sunil Chhetri-led side are currently placed second in the table in Group B only behind Qatar.
