Formula 1 on Wednesday  announced the extension of the agreement with the Austrian  Grand Prix for another four  years. The Austrian  GP as per the new deal will   remain in  F1 calendar till 202 7.

 

Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said he is delighted to announce the news  as the Austrian GP is set to celebrate its 10 th  anniversary on return, following an eleven-year  absence from the F1 calendar earlier.

 

“ The Austrian Grand Prix brings together the perfect mix of a challenging track, high-speed racing, and a beautiful venue for our fans, so I am delighted that we will be coming back to the Red Bull Ring until at least 2027 under this new agreement ,” Stefano Domenicali said.

 

The 202 3  edition of the Austria n Grand Prix w ill be  held from 30 June till 2 July.   The Austrian GP will also feature an F1 Sprint for the second consecutive year during this time. Talking about the 2022 edition of the Austrian GP, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc won the race with Dutch Max Verstappen securing the second position while Hamilton stood third.
