Fortnite Battle Royale is quite famous for its various collaborations and unexpected crossovers. There was a lot of speculation among the players around the upcoming possible alliance. The fans have been waiting for some time now and there has been a lot of buzz around the introduction of a male and a female character.
Fortnite has now officially confirmed that they have indeed joined hands with Street Fighter in Chapter 2 Season 5. They released a teaser on their YouTube channel to inform the fans and players about the same.
Ryu and Chun-Li are the new heroes
Street fighter legends Ryu and Chun-Li are the latest entrants to the Fortnite world and they will be arriving to the Battle Royale map through the Zero Point. It is expected that the Players will be able to access the characters from February 21, IST 5 AM onwards.
The portal is already active and the players can locate it in a region somewhere southwest to Sweaty Sands. It looks like it is leading to Suzaku Castle, a classic stage of the Street Fighter franchise.
An exciting collab for the players
It is expected to be a really interesting collaboration and the players are indeed excited about it. Ryu and Chun-Li will join a list full of various other heroes like Kratos from God of War and Master Chief of the HALO fame.
The game has had a lot of crossovers in recent times like Terminator's T-800, the angry Mandalorian, G.I Joe’s Snake Eyes, Walking Dead’s Daryl Dixon and Michonne.
Fortnite is already full of heroes now and the players would certainly enjoy the latest addition of the Street Fighter duo. Epic Games would certainly be hoping for a positive response to this collaboration.
