Nepal cricket team wins a trophy for the first time
The first major trophy win was achieved by Nepal in 2010, when they defeated USA in the final of the ICC World Cricket League Division Five final, which was held in Kathmandu. In 2013, Nepal finished in third place in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier to advance through to the main tournament next year.
After taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup 2014, Nepal were awarded the T20I status by the ICC on June 28, 2014 in a major announcement.
