Australia put up just another sensational performance on Sunday night in the final match of T20 World Cup 2021 against New Zealand to take home the coveted trophy for the first time ever. Before this, the Aussies had only played one final at the mega event that too a decade ago when they had suffered loss to England. However, this time the story saw a contrasting end as Australia eventually emerged victorious.

Given that the teams chasing had won the 11 out of the 12 games played at the surface of Dubai, toss was always going to be a decisive factor in the night of the final. To his good luck, Aaron Finch won the toss yet again in the tournament and opted to bowl first. Notably, this was the 6th toss he had won at the mega event out of the 7 coin flips. Finch had lost the toss only in the game against England in the league stage and had lost the game as well. Meanwhile, he managed a clean sheet of victories in the rest 6 games in which he also won the toss.

Talking about the quality of Australian skippers to win the toss, Rajat Bhatia said they are addicted to it. He jokingly added that the man of the series award should be given to Aaron Finch's coin. "The Australians do a lot of gambling. Many from their team were addicted to winning tosses, especially David Warner at the beginning. It took a lot of effort to make him forget that quality. I know the effect (quality of winning a toss in Australian skippers) is still there, that's why he (Aaron Finch) was winning the toss time and again," said Rajat Bhatia on SportsTiger's show Mid-Wicket Live.

When questioned about who should have been the man of the series, Bhatia jokingly said, "Give the man of the series award to Aaron Finch's coin."

Marsh takes Australia to maiden T20 World Cup glory

Chasing a competitive target of 173 runs, Australia reached home with 8 wickets in hand and 7 ball to spare. Mitchell Marsh scored unbeaten 77 off 50, while David Warner hit 53 off 38. Additionally, Glenn Maxwell's 28 off 18 saw the side crossing the finishing line easily.
