On the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand participated in an event where he locked horns with 22 chess players at once and went on to defeat every single of them. As Viswanathan engaged in a magnificent exhibition of his mental power versus the competitors, the event witnessed an engrossing competition. 

The tournament, which was hosted by Upstep Academy and Rotary Club Thane Midtown, proved to be a remarkable showcase of chess strategy and analytical skills. Each player planned and executed their moves with a special twist, creating a colourful display of various strategies and methods on the chessboard.

Deva Jyotula, Vice President of Retail, stated after the success of the event, "Chess is not only a timeless and strategic sport but also a treasure trove for nurturing analytical thinking and strategic acumen.”
