Similarly, the Indian medical staff was hopeful that Hardik would recover to play in India's last league match against the Netherlands on November 12. But Pandya's swelling failed to get better which caused him pain during the fitness tests and hence he was eventually ruled out of the tournament, with Prasidh Krishna being his replacement. With Pandya still away from optimum fitness, Cricinfo reports, the all-rounder will miss the Australia tour.
Talking about the Indian squad for the tour, players from the gold medal-winning team, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, are set to feature in the T20Is. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma could be part of the squad.
