Team India announced their squads for the multi-format tour of South Africa on Thursday, November 30. The Men in Blue will play three-match T20I series, three-match ODI series and two-match Test series against South Africa on South African soil, which is set to commence from 10th December. Senior Indian players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will miss out on the white-ball series but will mark their return in the Test series.
Notably, Rohit Sharma is set to play his first overseas bilateral Test series as captain against South Africa. Hence, in this article, we will have a look on how the Indian team has performed against South Africa on South African soil in the past.
