Former Chelsea forward Eden Hazard recently dropped a bombshell after he claimed that Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is a “bigger player” than him but not better than him in terms of "pure football". Football fans slammed Hazard for his "disrespectful" comments against the five-time Ballon d'Or winner on social media, calling the Belgian International only better than Ronaldo at "eating burgers".
Eden Hazard has scored 167 goals in 622 club career games with 110 goals for Chelsea in 352 appearances. Hazard has scored 33 international goals in 126 appearances for the Belgian football team. Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 145 of his 873 senior career goals with his head across five clubs and his national team.
After Hazard's controversial statement on one of the best all-time footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo, fans took to social media platform X and criticised the former Chelsea star.

Today only goals and assists matter: Eden Hazard
Apart from that, Hazard made another controversial comment where he called out the footballers who score goals with an outstretched foot/tap-in. However, the 33-year-old Belgian didn't name any of those players.
As quoted by Football Talk, Hazard said, "You have players, I am not going to name them, I respect what they do, but they score three goals by doing it three times (he mimes an outstretched foot/tap in), and afterward, we say, Wow! They play in great teams, they win but can only give something to the supporter of their team, nothing to me. They don't excite me at all.”
“For me, that was the player I wanted to be exciting people. Today the only thing that matters is having goals and assists." Fans were quick to denounce Hazard's claims as they mentioned that he is not Pele or Maradona to make such statements.
