The IPL 2023 is approaching its play-off stage, and the fans are rooting for their favourite teams to make it to the next stage and later, lift the trophy. Apart from common people enjoying their favourite players smashing sixes and taking wickets, the entertainment industry also utilises this tournament to enjoy the most celebrated sport in the country. Time and again, several actors have expressed their love for this game and the tournament and joining them recently is the famous actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
Needless to say, the connection between the entertainment industry and cricket is undeniable. Samantha recently made an appearance in a chit-chat show on the sets of Star Sports India, the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League. During the show, she talked about her favourite cricketer, who is none other than MS Dhoni. Samantha, being a Chennai girl was asked if she carries a different kind of love for Chennai, to which she replied yes.
The Indian actress also went on to talk about her love for MS Dhoni and CSK, and how the cricketer has inspired her. She said, "He belongs to Chennai as much as he belongs to Ranchi. He is a perfectionist, and I’d love to get into his head and see how he functions and maintains coolness and remains cool in any adversity."

Notably, Dhoni-led CSK sit at number two on the points table and are set to clash against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 14, at home. Speaking of Samantha, she is one of the highest-paid actresses in India and will be next seen alongside Vijay Devarakonda in a Telugu romantic movie, Kushi.
