Arsenal registered another statement win against last year’s Champions League runner-up, Liverpool. The Gunners lit up their home stadium as they won 3-2 with goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta received a lot of praise for this victory, but one former Gunner made some shocking statements about the former Manchester City coach.

The ex-Arsenal player is current Chelsea number nine Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The striker has expressed that Arteta cannot deal with big players and big characters in a video which has gone viral on the internet. The video was shot in Paris by the A Jewellers YouTube channel where the Gabon international was discussing various parts of his football career with his entourage.

Aubameyang said, "To manage big characters and big players, he can't deal with it." He was then asked if Arteta could communicate and interact well with people, to which he responded: "Some young players don't say anything, they just listen."

In the video titled, ‘Aubameyang Talks Arsenal | Tion Wayne Chain Shopping | Paris | A Jewellers’, the Chelsea player was asked if he was happier in Spain after his stint in London to which Aubameyang replied: "I'm more than happy. Spain changed my life."

The former Borussia Dortmund then spoke about how the chance to join FC Barcelona came about and also discussed the overall atmosphere in the team. He said, "The rest of the team at Barcelona are very cool, there is a lot of young players as well but they listen."

"I remember, they first called my father [his manager], they called him and we knew that the manager of Barcelona [Xavi] called me and said, "I didn't know there was an opportunity because you had those problems with Arsenal if you come you will help us a lot."

These comments from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his ugly exit from North London led to the Barcelona move and then a transfer to Chelsea. The forward left in January 2022 on a free transfer as he was frozen out of the team. Prior to this he also lost the club captaincy due to a discipline breach. He blamed his "complicated" exit on Arteta while the coach expressed, he "was the solution, not the problem."
