As Pakistan broke their World Cup jinx against India after handing them a thumping 10-wicket defeat in Dubai on October 24, tempers flared high on social media. Harbhajan Singh and Mohammad Amir engaged in an ugly spat on Twitter which went viral on social media. The two cricketers, who have been part of Indo-Pak matches in past, said quite a few nasty things to each other during the whole war of words.
Reflecting on the whole controversy, the former Indian off-spinner posted a video on his YouTube channel explaining how the events unfolded. Harbhajan started by admitting that India-Pakistan game is always a high pressure one and a lot depends on the result. "On that day, the Pakistani side played very well. They beat us in all departments. We praised them. We gratefully accepted it. The talk ended after the match," Bhajji said.

Harbhajan was involved in a friendly banter with Shoaib Akhtar after the match, with the former Pakistani pacer taking a dig at Harbhajan for his 'walkover' comments ahead of the clash. However, there was no love lost between the two of them during the exchange as it was all happening in good spirit.
Talking about his bond with Akhtar, Harbhajan stated, "Before that me and Shoaib Akhtar, we both work for media, I support my team, he supports his team which is fair enough. He praises his team, I praise mine. Banter between me and him has been going on for many years."

"In that another person came in between, Mohammad Amir. I want to know who he is. Me and Shoaib have a very old friendship, we have played against each other so many times, we know each other for many years, we have done shows together too. But between all this, Amir poked his nose," Harbhajan added.
The 41-year-old was certainly not happy with the fact that Mohammad Amir came in between all this. Notably, the left-arm pacer had tried to troll Harbhajan after the match which did not go down well with the former Indian spinner. In reply, Bhajji brought the issue of Amir's involvement in spot-fixing in 2010 which took the whole conversation to a different level altogether.

To clarify the sequence of events, Harbhajan explained what happened. He said, "In between all this Amir puts a tweet asking me If I broke my TV, I said no I did not break any TV. I tweeted him the six I hit him saying that might have landed on your TV. He replied I was busy watching the video of Shahid Afridi hitting you for sixes. In between all this he put another tweet and then even I tweeted there was a big no-ball in Lords, how did that happen. We know how it happened and what he did."
"I do not want to get into the mud as I will dirty myself only and Amir does not have the status or level that I should talk to him. The more I talk to him I will lower myself. He is a disgrace. He put a black spot on world cricket which no one can ever forget," added Harbhajan.
Towards the end of video, the 41-year-old went on to say that he should not have reacted only to a person who sold cricket, his country and his integrity to earn money by bowling an intentional no-ball (at Lord's).
