Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood opened up about Indian bowler Mohammed Siraj after his heated controversy at the Adelaide Test. Notably, during the second game of the India-Australia five-match series, played at The Adelaide Oval, Siraj and Australia’s big-hitter Travis Head engaged in a heated exchange. The war of words grabbed all the headlines and became a massive talking point.

While Siraj faced wrath from Adelaide fans for his behaviour towards their local hero and many punters said that the animated send off was unnecessary, Hazlewood came in support of the Indian. After the Test, the bowler spoke to the press and said that nothing was wrong with a little bit of aggression from the fast bowler.

He is another one who’s like Virat: Josh Hazlewood on Mohammed Siraj-Travis Head feud

Hazlewood, who has spent some time with Siraj at the IPL franchise Royal Challenger Bengaluru, came in support of his former teammate. He said that Siraj is a great person and has a good character. The 33-year-old said, "He's great. I really enjoyed my time at the RCB with Siraj. He's probably the leader of the attack there, to a degree. He's another one who's a bit like Virat, very passionate. He goes with the flow of the game, gets the crowd up, all that sort of stuff. Bowled some serious spells in the IPL in the last few years for sure, so he's just a good character, I think, and it's good to see sometimes.”

Notably, Hazlewood missed the second Test with a side strain, earlier scalped the wicket of Virat Kohli for five runs in the opening Test. After winning the opening Test by a margin of 295 runs, Australia recorded a 10-wicket win to level the five-match series 1-1.
