In a significant development, La Liga president Javier Tebas has reportedly accused Nasser Al-Khelaifi of lying and being arrogant on Wednesday after Paris-Saint Germain's president defended his club spending a whopping amount on keeping Kylian Mbappe. Earlier, La Liga filed a complaint to UEFA about PSG and Manchester City for 'continuously breaching the current regulations of financial fair play,' the Spanish League confirmed last week.

A day before, PSG's president Al-Khelaifi claimed that he doesn't want to give lessons to anyone with other clubs or leagues. "It is rude to pretend to tell others what to do. I do not accept lessons from those who see the Champions League as a threat to their league. I have a project to build, respecting everyone."

However, Khelaifi's comment didn't go down well with La Liga president as he has now hit back at PSG president by suggesting that the 'Al Khelaïfi thing is another level.' Taking to his social media handle, Khelaifi wrote, "Al Khelaïfi takes us all for fools. He gives lessons about the arrogance and arrogance of the nouveau riche. The rules exist for PSG. We will continue fighting for sustainable football without cheating."

Tebas has been a rebel against the financial wealth of state-backed clubs like PSG and City, who he repeatedly alleges for breaking UEFA's financial fair play rules and disturbing the economic balance of the game.

La Liga has hired legal firms in France and Switzerland “intending to undertake administrative and judicial actions before the relevant French bodies and the European Union as soon as possible,“ La Liga said last week. The league is also mulling taking action against AI-Khelaifi regarding a 'conflict of interest.' Al-Khelaifi is PSG president, in charge of Qatar-owned BeIN Sports, leads the European Club Association and also sits on UEFA’s executive committee.
