The video editor for the internet sensation and streamer IShowSpeed, Slipper has shared an update on the Cristiano Ronaldo super fan’s health, who is hospitalised in Tokyo, Japan. Darren Watkins Jr.(IShowSpeed’s real name) was taken for surgery on July 30, 2023, after being suspected of suffering from cluster headaches.

Additionally, he had his right eye had swollen up significantly. But as per Slipper’s recent tweet, Speed has been recovering well and the doctors have increased the medication after identifying the infection. Slipper also confirmed that Speed will be staying in Tokyo until being cleared by the doctors.

He tweeted, "Update: Speed spent his first overnight in [the] hospital. He’s doing good, he’s on good pain meds so he’s comfortable. They are increasing medication for his eye today now that they have blood results and identified the infection. Now it is a waiting game. He will stay in hospital in Tokyo until the doctors clear him to travel home. His mom will be here with him the whole time.”



Slipper also shared that Speed has been extremely dedicated to his streams and was asking the doctors if he could bring a laptop and camera to his hospital room. He said, "This guy is so dedicated to his craft that I am brining his a laptop, mic, and camera setup in case he isn't home in time to stream his reaction to One Piece. Dude is a champ."
