Rohit Sharma to play RR in the 1000th IPL match

Mumbai Indians are all set to clash against Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium on April 30, Sunday, which will be the 1000th IPL game. Not only this, but the day also marks his 10 years as Mumbai Indians captain, as he overtook the captaincy from Ricky Ponting in 2013. While the celebrations for Sharma from his near and dear ones still remain under wraps, a fan club in Hyderabad will reveal a massive 60 feet cut-out of the MI skipper to celebrate the occasion.

Notably, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians have won three out of their seven fixtures, and are currently hanging at the bottom-second spot of the points table in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.
