T20 World Cup 2022 group stage is about to come to an end but still only New Zealand have confirmed their berth for the semi-final spot. All six teams in Group 2 have played 4 matches each and they will play their 5th and final Super 12 match on November 6. South Africa and the Netherlands will face each other at Adelaide at 5:30 AM IST.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh in the same venue at 9:30 AM IST and India will play Zimbabwe at 1:30 PM IST in Melbourne. Now, here in this article, we will see how South Africa (SA) vs Netherlands (NED) and Pakistan (PAK) vs Bangladesh (BAN) can affect India's chances of qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-finals.

Current T20 WC 2022 Points table (all teams have played 4 games):

IND - 6
SA - 5
PAK, BAN - 4
ZIM - 3
NED - 2

Although, India can be the table topper of Group 2 by defeating Zimbabwe in their final game but if Zimbabwe manages to cause an upset then there may be a chance that India might miss out of a semi-final berth if the first two game results SA vs NED (or) PAK vs BAN don't go their way.

India have managed to win two games against PAK and BAN by a very small margin only thus their Net run rate (NRR) is less compared to SA and PAK.

If South Africa beats the Netherlands and Pakistan manages to beat Bangladesh in the next game then these two teams with 7 & 6 points will be ahead of the Indian team with the same 6 points (less NRR). Hence, India would face Zimbabwe in the last match of T20 WC 2022 in group stage in a must-win under-pressure situation and a defeat would prevent them from forging ahead in the tournament.
