The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) got back to winning ways as they beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their 11th game of the season. RCB successfully defended 173 and earned two valuable points to keep themselves in the hunt for the playoffs. It was a complete team effort from RCB as every player contributed in some or the other way.

Glenn Maxwell also made a handy contribution with the ball after having an unfortunate outing with the bat. The RCB all-rounder took two crucial wickets as dismissed Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu and also stayed economical in his four overs. This spell from Maxwell allowed Faf du Plessis to save Harshal Patel for the death overs which worked well in RCB's favour.

There were happy faces in the RCB camp post this significant win as everyone celebrated in the dressing room. The franchise's social media page also shared a video of the celebrations in the dressing room where players talked about how they felt after beating CSK. Glenn Maxwell also talked about the win out there.

In the same video, Maxwell is also heard complaining to Virat Kohli about batting with him. The Aussie said that he can't bat with Virat Kohli as he runs too fast. "I just can't bat with you. You run too fast. And you run ones and twos, I don't," said the RCB player.

Notably, Glenn Maxwell was run out while batting against CSK on Wednesday. He and Kohli had a terrible mix-up and the batter was found short of the popping crease where MS Dhoni whipped the bails off with his lightning-fast hands. Even before that dismissal, the duo faced trouble while running between the wickets.

Nonetheless, the run out of Maxwell did not affect RCB much as the batters played some sensible innings and helped their team post a respectable total on the board. Once again Dinesh Karthik was to the rescue as the batter scored 26* off 17 balls. Young batter Mahipal Lomror also impressed everyone with his 42 off 27 balls.
