Ahead of India's first Super Fours fixture against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who was the match-winner for India in their group fixture against Pakistan, talked about his diet in a pre-match interview.

Team India entered the Asia Cup 2022 Super Four stage by topping the Group A that also included Pakistan and Hong Kong.

During a pre-match interview, Indian commentator and former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar asked Hardik Pandya about the places he has gone to eat in the United Arab Emirates. Pandya, who is among the top physically fit cricketers in the world, stated that he only goes out for dinner.

"I carry my chef everywhere I go. He keeps count of my calories & kind of food I have to eat," Hardik Pandya told Sanjay Manjrekar.

Former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram, who is in awe of Pandya since his match-winning performance against Pakistan on August 28, asked Pandya to share the contact details of his chef on the Star Sports pre-match show. “Humble request to Hardik Pandya to send his chef to my hotel, I am sick of having bad food,” said Akram.

Meanwhile, India and Pakistan are currently squaring off in their first Super Fours fixture of the Asia Cup 2022.
