West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has shared a screenshot of coach Phil Simmons remark over the non availability of players for their country on social media and hinted his anger through the post caption. Earlier on Wednesday, while talking about the unavailability of the West Indies players for their national side, Simmons said, "I don’t think that I should be begging people to play for their countries."

As the franchise cricket leagues are increasing, top West Indian players will be in high demands and the deals offered by the leagues like IPL and ILT20 are tough to decline. This will result into the unavailability of players for their respective countries.

Windes cricket star Andre Russell, who is currently playing in The Hundred along with Sunil Narine, has recently responded to coach Phil Simmons remark. He shared a screenshot of a news article, where Phil Simmons stated that he can't beg people to play for West Indies, on his official Instagram account and captioned it, "I know this was coming but am gonna stay quiet!!!"

The cricket boards like the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board have denied their players to participate in franchise cricket leagues to be available for the international cricket series.
