LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers defeated Minnesota Timberwolves 108-102 to clinch the playoffs berth in the NBA 2022-23. During the final minutes of the regulation time, Lakers center Anthony Davis messed up teammate Dennis Schroder's game-winner as he fouled  Wolves guard Mike Conley Jr., which led to overtime.

Lakers guard Dennis Schroder scored a clutch three in the last minute of regulation time to take his side to a three-point lead, however, Anthony Davis fouled Conley, while he was taking a three-point shot, and the game was eventually forced to overtime.

After winning the game, Davis intervened in LeBron James' conversation with the reporter and apologized to Schroder for ruining his clutch game-winner. He said, "I messed his game-winner up, I apologize!"
