Former Pakistan pacer and one of the great of the game of cricket Shoaib Akhtar has always hailed Sachin Tendulkar for his hitting abilities. In a recent video doing rounds on social media, the Pakistan pacer, who is also reckoned as ‘Rawalpindi Express’ once again called Sachin as the greatest players of all-time.

 

In the latest video, Akhtar praise Sachin for having faced some of the fiercest bowlers of the world, hailing him as “one of the best ever players to play the sport.” However, along with this, he also felt sorry for ‘Master Blaster’ because he had to face the best bowling attack in the world, be it the pace of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis in the early 90s or Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne or Shoaib Akhtar in the late 90s.

 

“I feel sorry for Sachin Tendulkar as he faced planet Earth’s most dangerous bowling attack. He came up against Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, in the early 90s. In the late 90s, Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne and I were in front of him,” the Pakistan pacer quoted.

 

“He slammed every bowler, including me. There can’t be any bigger batter than him,” Akhtar concluded hailing him as the greatest.

 

Sachin Tendulkar, who was currently part of the Mumbai Indians franchise in the IPL 2023 made his debut at the age of 16. He went upto play until his 40s breaking several records and etching his name in the history books. The 50-year-old sits at the top of the list of several records, including most runs in Test cricket (15921), having played most matches (200). He also has scored most hundreds (51) in Test cricket.
