Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool forward, who is 32 years of age, is in the form of his life, and he played a key role in securing the second Premier League title for his current club during the 2024-25 season. The Egyptian went on to score 29 goals for Liverpool in the Premier League season, to win the coveted Golden Boot award in the league for the fourth-time in his illustrious career.
Apart from his goal-scoring prowess, Mohamed Salah was involved just as much in regard to help his teammates find the back of the net, providing 18 assists in total in the Premier League title-winning season, for which he earned the highly accomplished Playmaker award. It is the second time in his career that the Egyptian managed to take home the Golden Boot and Playmaker award in a single league campaign, and the last time it happened was in the 2021/22 season.

Over the past few months, Mohamed Salah was heavily linked to join a club in the Saudi Pro League, with earnings of nearly £500 million before he decided to sign a new contract with Liverpool until 2027. During his latest interview to an Egyptian TV channel ON Sports, he talked about his future, “I will stop playing when I have that feeling. If you ask me for my opinion, I think I can play until the age of 39 or 40 but if I felt before that I wanted to stop, I would quit. I have achieved a lot of things.”
“My contract was up at Liverpool and I would have gone to Saudi but we finalised the deal with Liverpool,” he added. With that, the intention of Mohamed Salah is clear in regard to joining a club in the Middle East, to potentially end his footballing career close to his native land of Egypt after his current contract with Liverpool expires in two year’s time.
In his Premier League career, Mohamed Salah has 186 goals to his name while playing for Liverpool and Chelsea, to find himself in fifth place in the all-time list.
