On June 6, Tuesday, PGA Tour agreed on a merger with Saudi Arabian-backed LIV Golf, causing a massive split in the field of golf. However, this surprise decision comes after a-year-long conflict in men’s category after LIV’s launch. Although, this might be a big decision to the sport and even got mixed reactions from personalities around the world.

Out of many was one of influencer and former golfer Paige Spiranac. The influencer-cum model took to social media to comment on this move with a picture. This post of her which she captioned, “LIV and PGAT fans now”, was soon flooded with reactions. One user by the profile name Dennis Gursky was quick to respond, stating, “@PaigeSpiranac I thought  I wouldn’t LIV to see this day!”

Apart from this, the post has also showered several reactions, as mentioned below.

Talking more about this merger, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and Governor of the Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PFI) Yasir Al-Rumayyan signed a memorandum of understanding which is likely to materialise in the coming weeks.

The statement by both signed authorities “combines PIF’s golf-related commercial businesses and rights (including LIV Golf) with commercial businesses and rights of the PGA Tour and DP World Tour into a new, collectively owned, for profit entity to ensure that all stakeholders benefit from a model that delivers maximum excitement and competition among the game’s best players.”
