Coming back to Pathan, the ex-Indian international revealed how he was attacked by a fan with a bolt while fielding in Pakistan. Pathan also shared that the bolt hit him below his eye but he never made it into a big issue.

While commentating on the World Cup match, Pathan said,  "We were playing a game in Peshawar, and a fan suddenly threw an iron nail at me which struck under my eye. We never made an issue out of that and always appreciated their hospitality. Pakistan should stop making issues on crowd behaviour in India".

These comments by Irfan Pathan were made after the Pakistan Cricket Board lodged a complaint to the International Cricket Council about the poor conduct of the Indian fans during the game in Ahmedabad. In this complaint, the PCB also raised the issue of visa delays for  Pakistani journalists and fans.

"Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023," the PCB said in a statement."
