Virat Kohli continued his brilliant form with the bat after he scored his first century of IPL 2024. The Faf du Plessis-led RCB travelled to Jaipur to play against Rajasthan Royals in match 19 of IPL 2024. After being invited to bat first, the visitors posted 183 runs on the board, courtesy Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 113-run knock.

However, this proved to be crucial for RCB, but it went in vain with Jos Buttler returning to form and scoring a match winning 100* to help his team home. The 35-year-old not only earned praises, but a few fans and critics also hit out at him for scoring the slowest century of the tournament. Amid such, former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop’s on-air remarks also got into limelight, forcing him to apologize for his comments.  Check the top betting trends on the   best betting sites in India    and apps.

A fan, who goes by the username @statscian on X took to social media to highlight Ian Bishop’s comments. “Bish says on air kohli completed his fifty in just 39 balls. You disappointed me @irbishi”, he captioned the post on X. However, the West Indies legend was quick to respond to the user.

“I take an “L” on that one. I am very aware of what T20 batting entails, and my insertion of that word was inaccurate. My choice of words and language in keeping with the format of the game needs to be more accurate and it will be going forward. Apologies”, he replied to user accepting that the use of word “just” was inaccurate.

Speaking of the RR vs RCB IPL 2024 match, the Faf du Plessis-led side succumbed to their third successive defeat in the IPL as they lost the match by six wickets. The Bengaluru-based franchise will next take on Mumbai Indians on Thursday, April 11 at the Wankhede Stadium.
