ICC announce schedule for U19 Women's T20 World Cup; India to open campaign against South Africa

Four matches will be played each day as Indian women's will open their campaign against the hosts, South Africa on January 14.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced the schedule for the U19 Women's T20 World Cup taking place in South Africa from January 14 to 29 in 2023. A total of 16 teams will participate in the tournament, including 11 full ICC members and five associate teams.

Last month, ICC revealed Benoni and Potchefstroom in South Africa as the venues for the U19 women's T20 World Cup in 2023.

The 16 teams are equally divided into four groups with three top teams from each group will qualify for the Super 6 league stage. In the Super Six league stage starting from January 20, the qualified teams from Group A will face Group D while Group B will take on the teams from Group C.
