Initially, Australia winning the toss opted to bat first and posted a huge total of 399/8 in 50 overs as Glenn Maxwell went on to destroy the bowlers in the death overs with the help of an excellent foundation laid by top-order batters like Warner, Labuschagne and Smith respectively.
The Netherlands were never in contention to chase 400 runs as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and finally got bundled out for a total of just 90 runs in a span of 21 overs with Vikramjit Singh top-scoring for their side.
