In the third group stage fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Namibia will take on Oman on June 3 (IST) at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The previous two fixtures of the tournament saw United States clashing against Canada in the season opener while co-hosts West Indies were up against Papua New Guinea in the second match on the same day (June 2, IST).
The ninth edition of the cricketing mega event will be Oman’s third appearance and they are pooled in Group B alongside reigning champions England as well as former champions Australia. The other members of the group are Namibia and Scotland. Speaking of Namibia, the team will play under the captaincy of Gerhard Erasmus and they will aim to make a mark for themselves among the top teams around the world.
The team is full of several young and dynamic names and while the team lacks international exposure at big level, the squad seems to be ambitious and dedicated to make the most of this opportunity.
