The ongoing World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand is likely to stretch till Day 6, i.e the Reserve Day. The Day 1 of the WTC final was washed out owing to heavy rain and inclement weather conditions, with the reserve day automatically coming into picture. After the entire first day's play was washed out, the second day witnessed 64.4 overs being bowled while 76.3 overs were bowled on Sunday. The Day 4’s play is also being affected with the morning session already being washed out, and a brimming possibility of no game being played on Monday. That being said, the sixth day which ICC had kept as a reserve is certain to come into effect in this historic Test championship.

ICC to sell tickets at reduced rates for Reserve Day

It’s learned that ICC will be selling the tickets for the sixth day at a reduced price, compared to the original rates set by the international board for the WTC final. “Yes, the prices of the tickets for the sixth day will be reduced. It’s a standard practice for Test matches played in United Kingdom. Since the Test match is only open to UK residents, ICC is following the same guidelines,” an ICC source mentioned.

For the WTC final, the tickets are priced under three slabs — GBP 150 (INR 15,444), GBP 100 (INR 10,296) and GBP 75 (INR 7722).

The revised reduced rates for the Reserve Day will be GBP 100 (INR 10,296), GBP 75 (INR 7722) and GBP 50 (INR 5148).
