Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed his disappointment after his team registered the worst loss of the season. The Lakers were handed a 41-point blowout loss as Miami Heat took them down 134-93 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The Lakers headed into the game to secure their 13th win of the season, but things quickly got out of hand, owing to Heat’s red-hot shooting. While they could tackle it with better effort, the Lakers seemingly have up and displayed minimal effort on the court. 

Following the match, the Lakers head coach expressed his disappointment and said that the team’s performance was “embarassing”. Not only this, but he also said that they all are required to take responsibility for the disastrous gameplay. Redick said, “I’m embarrassed. We’re all embarrassed. It’s not a game where we had the right fight, the right professionalism.” He added, "There has to be some ownership. I own this but there’s going to have to be some ownership on the court. There’s not a sense from me that we’re together right now.”

The Lakers head coach went on to say, “There has to be some ownership on the court. And I’ll take all the ownership in the world. This is my team, and I lead it, and I’m embarrassed. I’m not blaming players. I own this.” LeBron James reacted to the coach’s statement and sided with him for the same. He said, "I agree with everything JJ said. Whatever he say, I agree, 100%, 1000%."

During the game, the Lakers got off to a great start and gained an early lead of 3-0. However, they soon hit a 1-4 slump but bounced back 10-4. James top scored for his side with 29 points, five rebounds and eight assists. On the other hand, it was Tyler Herro, who finished with 31 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Miami Heat.
