Indian MMA artist Anshul Jubli, who is set to take on the United States’ Mike Breeden on Saturday at UFC 294 requested Indian fans’ support ahead of the bout. The Indian will lock horns with Breededn in a lightweight early preliminary bout on October 21, Saturday, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The UFC 294 bout will be headlined by the lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.

Ahead of the bout, Jubli posted a video on his Twitter where he requested the Indian fans to watch his UFC bout on Saturday. The 28-year-old, who became the first Indian to win in a UFC fight, said that he would also win the match for the fans and they would together celebrate after the win. Jubli captioned the video, “People from my country 🇮🇳 giving me so much love. I'm truly blessed and honoured. I got this opportunity to represent India in the world's biggest MMA stage @ufc”

He added, “Please tune in and watch the fight between 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm on 21st October on Sony ten2 and ten 3.” Notably, Jubli will come into the upcoming fight with an unbeaten record from seven bouts. Speaking of the title bout, Alexander Volkanovski stepped in to replace injured Charles Oliveira in the event, who suffered a cut on his eyebrow during a sparring session last week. 

Dana White lauded Volkanovski and his team for accepting the challenge and replacing Oliveira for the UFC 294 main event in a title rematch against Islam Makhachev. The 35-year-old Australia gave the Russian champion a tough competition in their previous battle which was won by Makhachev by a unanimous decision. Apart from them, Kamaru Usman and Khazmat Chimaev will square off in the co-main event in the middleweight category in UFC 294 at the Etihad Arena.
